DJDJ - National Monument to the Forefathers

Plymouth really was an interesting small town with plenty to see and do. From the harbor we saw a Colossus-like statue about 1/2 mile inland and decided to check it out. As it turns out, it was a monument surrounded by some grass and a gravel road. But it was awesome and imposing.

But, on top of them all stands FAITH. The most fascinating thing, to me, about going to Plymouth was being reminded of WHY the Pilgrims came to America - so they could worship God in the manner they saw fit. Faith has always been intertwined with America, and I fear someday God may diminish in our society, when belief in Him was at the foundation of our society. But, I have confidence that the faithful will be called to persevere and keep alive what the Pilgrims began (Jude 17-23).

  1. There's a lot of hype around that rock. Amazing history...you just don't get that in the Midwest.
