Pumpking carving...

....albeit a little late.

A few days before Halloween, we set out in the garage to carve our pumpkins. As it turned out, it was the last decent evening of weather, and it's been bitterly cold ever since. I apologize in advance for those silly shorts that I've had since 8th grade. I didn't realize there would be paparazzi. Otherwise, I would've turned off the lights so you could see them glow in the dark ;)

Anyways...

The cat enjoyed hanging out with us too. Not a fan of pumpkin though.

She much preferred to lay around and chew on leaves.

Last year, we had templates to follow, but this year we just did our own thing. Since Kyler was going a more traditional route, I just cut out our monogram.

And Kyler did a lovely job on his jack o'lantern.

And here they are, hanging out on the porch together.

Which reminds me, tomorrow's trash day. If we don't want a repeat of last year and our neighbors scoffing at out photographing rotten pumpkins, we better get these babies in the garbage.
