Show Me the Beef

Whenever someone asks who cooks in our family, we always say Kyler. He's a great cook and has been so good to me to cook supper at least half of the nights during the week. Call me spoiled. But then I always clarify that Kyler cooks and I bake. Lasagna, chicken rolls, desserts...I'm a baker. Blame my Grandma Faye. She made me a baker....of mostly desserts. So I've been trying to expand my repertoire of baked meals. At least if I have to provide a meal, I'm going to do it my way.

With a ton of beef in the deep freeze, I figured it was high time I learn to make a roast. Now, I know it's not exactly baking, but you throw it in the oven and forget about it. That's my kind of 'cooking'.

I also realize how unappetizing beef looks when photographed...especially when it's soaking in its own juice. Although it's not beautiful, Kyler passed it as tasty. And I have one more recipe in my book.

  2. Roast is a staple at our house...so easy to "cook" all day in a slow-cooker :) Go Kara!
